Reiki Retreats

While on a reiki retreat, we become fully immersed in the healing energy for a few days. By removing ourselves from our normal daily environment, we are signalling to our bodies and our subconscious that we are ready to relax completely. Everything about the new environment becomes about healing, not just the classes, treatments and meditations but also the new friends and everything we learn from meeting likeminded people. My healing retreats take place in peaceful settings, and are structured for small groups to explore an aspect of healing together.

Reiki & Tai Chi

21/05/2010 - 23/05/2010, The Friars, Kent

A beautiful weekend of Reiki, taught by Kay Gillard, and Tai Chi, taught by Cathy Birkinhead.

We have created a calming retreat to leave all participants feeling energised yet calm and with a quiet mind. We wanted to make sure that the retreat was accessible to Reiki people at all levels of experience, so we have made this peaceful weekend suitable for students from Reiki 1 and above. The Tai Chi component of the retreat is suitable for complete beginners or those with experience.

This residential retreat takes place at The Friars, a Priory and Carmelite order in Aylesford, near Maidstone, Kent. This peaceful setting, with a lake, wild birds, chapels, period buildings and lovely gardens has been a place of prayer for the Carmelites since the 13th century. The tranquil energy there is perfect for a Reiki weekend, for healing and recharging.

Mel Diamond is a professionally trained singer (she and Kay first met when singing in the same choir!) so it is no surprise that her Reiki and Shamanic healing path lead her eventually to sound healing.
